Soheila Travallaei

Soheila was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, in 1965, where encountered by both ancient and Islamic art. First, she started to study her own native culture, Persian Miniature painting, and Persian Carpet design at age fifteen. Then, in 1985,she moved to the United States, and became familiar with the modern western language of fine arts. After receiving her BFA from Utah State University she returned home and continued to work and study in her private studio in Tehran for ten years. Her works have been exhibited in the U.S., Iran and Canada in solo and group exhibitions. Now, she have been living and painting in Toronto since June 2000
